PalouPrez Pedrongel

Mexican historian, chronicler, journalist and writer, who was one of the iconic figures of the historical and cultural sectors not only of the city of Puebla de Zaragoza, but of the state of Puebla in general. His contributions are very numerous, for which he has been distinguished with the position of chronicler of the State of Puebla - in accordance with the official decree of the Honorable Local Congress - and awarded countless prizes and distinctions; among them, the honorary doctorate granted by the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla in 2004. Pedro Ángel Palou died in Puebla de Zaragoza, Puebla on 11 January 2018, aged 85. He was the father of the writer, novelist and journalist Pedro Ángel Palou García, former director of the University of the Americas in Puebla and former Secretary of Culture - a position that Pedro Ángel Palou Sr. also occupied.
