Peterson MelissaAnne

American writer and ecologist, author of the novel "Vera Violet" (2020). An earlier novel appeared in 2011 under the title Jimmy James Blood, The Man from Angel Road, published also in Italian translation as I Ragazzi di Cota Street. Like the heroines of her novels, Peterson grew up in a logging town in Washington State. After receiving a BA and BS in writing and biology from The Evergreen State College, she graduated with a MS from the University of Montana. She has worked in endangered species recovery in Washington and Montana for twelve years. She is a single mother, with a son born 2016. Read less
