Rockefeller Mary

American noted wife and mother, who served as the First Lady of New York from 1959 until 1962, as the first spouse of then Governor, Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller. After their divorce in 1962, Nelson Rockefeller later served as the 41st Vice President of the United States from 1974 to 1977. They had married on 23 June 1930, and had five children: Rodman Rockefeller, Ann Rockefeller, Steven Clark Rockefeller, and twins Michael Clark Rockefeller and Mary Rockefeller. Mary Rockefeller divorced her husband on 16 March 1962. A year later, "Happy" Murphy became the governors second wife.
