Shaneman Jhampa

Canadian Buddhist Astrologer, co-author of the book, "Buddhist Astrology." From 1971 until 1984, he studied Mahayana Buddhism in Dharmsala, India and became an ordained monk. His teachers included the Dalai Lama and the Dalai Lamas senior tutor Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and other famous Lamas of that time. For three years beginning in 1980, Jhampa was on retreat on the mountain above Dharmsala, India. Now a married Buddhist practitioner living on Vancouver Island, he is one of the first westerners to teach all levels of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism by permission of the Dalai Lama. Read less
