Álvaro Joaquim de Melo Siza Vieira is a Portuguese architect and educator, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary architecture. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and later taught there, shaping a generation of designers with a clear, rational style that blends light, geometry, and a sensitive response to site and climate.
