Stern Douard

French banker and friend of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Relatively unknown outside finance circles until his death on 28 February 2005, Stern shot to worldwide fame when he was found shot dead in his apartment in Geneva, Switzerland, after a sadomasochistic bondage session wearing a head-to-toe latex catsuit. His long-time lover, Cécile Brossard, was convicted and on 18 June 2009 was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison.
