Winton Dale

British disc jockey and television host, one of the most popular TV personalities in England. He is best known for presenting shows including Dales Supermarket Sweep from 1993 until 2000 and again in 2007, the National Lottery game show In It to Win It between 2002 and 2016 and the 2008 series of Hole in the Wall. His mother suffered from severe depression and committed suicide close to his 21st birthday. His father was absent from his life from Dales youth. He waged a constant battle to keep his weight down. He kept his sexual orientation quiet until he released his autobiography in 2002, coming out as gay. Since February 2018, Winton hosted the travelogue series Dale Wintons Florida Fly Drive for Channel 5. On 18 April 2018, Wintons long-term agent announced he had died at his home earlier that day.
