Wolff Hellmut

German astrologer, philosopher and mystic, who was an early member of DAV (Deutscher Astrologen-Verband/ The German Astrological Association). His father was an officer and so he spent his school and university years in various places in Germany, including Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Tübingen and Munich. Originally he wanted to study theology, but then he decided to study curative education. As he had already had experiences from his earliest childhood which gave him insights into the reality of the spiritual dimensions of life, it became necessary for him to take such recognized and understood "metaphysical" laws into account in his curative education work and make them accessible to others. To deepen his knowledge and understanding he devoted himself to intensive philosophical and borderline studies. In doing so he also dealt extensively with the Eastern traditions. During the Second World War he made his skills in handling the sidereal pendulum available to the Nazis - perhaps not entirely voluntarily. As he grew older, it became increasingly important for him to impart his religious-philosophical knowledge, which he presented to emerging audiences in southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria in a lively lecture and pastoral activity. Most recently he lived with his wife Bernadette, his son Rainer and his daughter Dagmar in Markt Rettenbach. His wife founded the Bernadette-Wolff-Verlag, where his audio and video recordings became available - later also as manuscripts or CDs. Hellmut Wolff is one of the founding members of the DAV. He reactivated Frank Glahns magazine Astrale Warte in October 1949 and continued it until the end of 1951. The re-edition of Glahns Uranus annual calendar appeared at least from 1950 to 1953. It was also the organ of the German Astrological Association Wiesbaden and the Cosmological Research Society Nuremberg. In addition to the philosophical articles Wolff wrote under clear names, he also wrote some explicitly astrological articles under the pseudonym Alfredo Sirmione (after his birthplace). The well-known chirologist and astrologer Gertrud Hürlimann writes that she learned from Wolff to "always look at the hand in connection with the image of birth".
