Brresen Jacob

Norwegian commodore and politician of the Labour Party who served as ship commander, military secretary to the Minister of Defence, and head of military operations and exercises. He was also the general manager of SACEURs crisis management staff with responsibility for planning and managing NATOs operations in former Yugoslavia. He has published extensively on strategy and defence and security policy, and has also published several booklets and books. He is a keen debater and active lecturer in professional circles at home and abroad. He is also co-author of Norsk Forsvarshistorie.
