MoraValverde Eduardo

Costa Rican economist, politician and leader of the Costa Rican left, brother of Manuel Mora main Costa Rican Communist Party leader and father of Patricia Mora, current president of the Broad Front Party and deputy of the 2014-2018 period. Eduardo Mora was deputy twice, first in the period 1974-1978 by the Socialist Action Party when it was still illegal to formation of Communist parties (although there was some tolerance to register and socialist parties and the ban was being questioned to the extent that would built in 1978) and the United Peoples coalition during the period 1982-1986. In 1982 when he was on the need to resign as deputy for health reasons, parliamentarians from different fractions regretted his departure and expressed words of support and praise, including the former Minister Rolando Lacle the Social Christian Unity Party and former vice president Fernando Guzman Mata the National Liberation Party. He studied economics in Mexico but interrupted his studies in 1946 to return home and assist in the social struggles of the time as protests by banana workers next to Carlos Luis Fallas. During 1948 Civil War fought on the side pot-communist after which goes into exile in Mexico with his brother. He finished his studies in the Aztec country in 1950 and helped in the remaking of the Salvadoran Communist Party was imprisoned and expelled from El Salvador. He died on 2 December 2013.
