Hoek LucVan

Dutch artist, childrens book author and poet. Van Hoek was a versatile artist, best known for his many stained-glass windows, particularly in North Brabant churches. He was also a costume designer for history plays and processions and a designer of liturgical attire. He wrote and published childrens stories and several volumes of poetry. He also wrote a childrens book about the life of Peter Paul Rubens under the pseudonym Barend Ballinck. Van Hoek married violinist Helena Sieben in Goirle and lived there the rest of his life. He is the father of sculptor Bart van Hoek and composer Frans van Hoek. He died on 29 January 1991, aged 80. Link to Wikipedia biography (Dutch) Read less
