The Bhrigu Bindu, also called the Bhrigu point or destiny point, is the midpoint between the Moon and Rahu in your birth chart. Astrologers who use it read the sign, nakshatra and house it falls in, and watch slow planets such as Jupiter and Saturn crossing it when timing events.
Use the time from your birth certificate if you have it. The house of the Bhrigu Bindu is counted from your Lagna, which needs an accurate birth time.
What you will see
Everything comes from one chart calculation, the same one the Lagna calculator uses.
The sidereal sign the Bhrigu Bindu falls in, its exact degree and the planet that rules the sign.
The nakshatra the point falls in, the pada (quarter) within it and the nakshatra's ruling planet.
The house of your birth chart the Bhrigu Bindu occupies, counted with whole-sign houses from your Lagna.
The Moon's and Rahu's positions from your chart and every step from them to the Bhrigu Bindu, so you can check the arithmetic.
Your Lagna chart in North Indian or South Indian style, with the Bhrigu Bindu shown as BB in its house.
If the point sits close to the edge of a sign or nakshatra, or another common method would place it differently, the result says so.
The Moon moves about 13° a day and Rahu barely moves, so the Bhrigu Bindu moves at roughly half the Moon's speed: about 6.5° a day, or 1° every three to four hours. Its sign and nakshatra often stay the same across a few hours of birth time.
The house is different. It is counted from the Lagna, and the Lagna changes sign about every two hours, so a birth time that is off by an hour can move the Bhrigu Bindu into the next house. If the result shows a note about your Lagna, the house is the part to double-check.
Both positions come from a sidereal chart with the Lahiri ayanamsa and the true Rahu, calculated for your date, time and place of birth.
Rahu's longitude is subtracted from the Moon's, adding 360° if the result is negative. Half of that arc is added to Rahu's longitude.
The zodiac is divided into 27 nakshatras of 13°20′ each, starting from Ashwini at 0° Mesha. Each nakshatra has four padas of 3°20′.
The sign of your Lagna is the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. The Bhrigu Bindu's house is the house of its sign.
